Passion Audio Player - audio that gives you chills

review from BillAllin, Jan 2006 - updated Jul 2007, permalink Multimedia Players

Notes from Bill Allin

Though many freeware programs will play MP3s and other audio formats, only Passion Audio Player gives me chills of excitement when I listen to favourite tunes on my computer. In addition to the commonly included features of pitch, tempo and samplerate variations, playlist assembly, shuffle, streaming audio and so on, it has a preamp (with ON/OFF switch) and ten equalizer slides that cover an unusually wide range (which adds richness to the sound) and may be set on Auto. With so many features it includes and formats it accommodates (through BASS API 2.2), it's best to direct you to the web site.

NOTE: The latest version is 2.3, but some freeware sites still have the older v2.2 if you search for download sites. Version 2.3 is so complete that the author doesn't even have a plan for what else he could add in a future version. I can understand why.

Update from Clif: Abdullah in Turkey wrote in to let me know that Passion Audio Player is now at version 2.4. I guess the author found a few things to add.

The Audio Player for those who have passion with PCs and music. My ambition

is to make it the absolute audio player.
