GetIcons

GetIcons - scan your hard drive for thousands of icons

Posted by Respect2Glory, May 2008, permalink Icon Tools

This (25.5K) no-install program is one I've always wanted. GetIcons does what it says, it grabs icons. You can have it search a folder or the whole drive as I did. This amazing tiny program found 16,895 icons, that I've set to be saved in an Icon folder. This folder will take some time to go through. I've emailed the author so I hope he writes back.

This program works fine under Windows 95/98, NT 4.0, NT 5.0 (2000), NT 6.0 (XP).

Quote from the website

GetIcon is an icon ripper that supports EXE, DLL, SRC, SYS, and other executables. It is fast, small, and easy to use. Just select the directory (even a whole disk) and then click on Search. After some time you will get many icons in the destination directory.
