PhoneTray - block sales calls

Here's a good tip for all of those who use the phone at home all the time. This may not work with a cell phone and you'll have to have a computer on all the time.

Phone Tray is the best caller ID available anywhere, and it's free! Hear who's calling from across the room as your computer speaks the name and number of caller. You can set it to block and reject sales calls, use specialized rings for different people, not ring between certain hours (if you want to sleep in late) and customize it to your heart's content. Phone Tray is one handy little helper no one should be without!

Note: One does need the old fashion modem, along with Caller ID from your telephone provider.
I love this program. Set-up is easy and almost straight forward. No such ting as mistakes, it part of the learning process.
I've received fewer troubling calls, so this program must be working. In the past, those with Blocked Name and Number would just hang-up when the answering machine kicked in, or wait for the entire message to play, and either get cut off, or get a registered dead air message. Now, after just one ring, the Blocked sender gets a message that we don't accept Blocked calls. Also set the program to reject 800 numbers, as they are from telemarketers. Might do more playing around later to also reject displayed numbers from telemarketers who have not respected our DO NOT CALL requests. Highly recommend this program,
