<p>These are simply a contract that you agree to every time you use a piece of software when you decide to use it. Have you ever seen those check boxes that say "I agree" when you install a new program? <p><b>Why should I care about EULAs?</b>
<p>Since these are considered a legally binding contract, you should at least know what you are agreeing to. Not only that, if you use a program without some idea of what the EULA says, you might be allowing them to use personal information on your PC or worse.

<p>I saw this little utility and decided to try it. SpeedFan promises to give you as much information about your computer's cooling systems as it can. On my computer, I was only able to see how hot my hard drives are running. If you have a newer computer, then I'm sure it will tell you much more.

<p><em>SpeedFan can access digital sensors available on your pc. By acessing available hardware monitor chips, SpeedFan can show temperatures, voltages and fan speeds. SpeedFan can show S.M.A.R.T. data from almost evey hard disk too. Temperature sensors from almost every manufacturer are automatically detected and accessed. Usually, the only action you need to take is to rename the readings that SpeedFan found. If your hardware allows it and you properly configured SpeedFan, you can change fan speeds depending on system temperatures, thus reducing overall noise.</em>

<p>As I write this, every free Gmail account comes with 2.73 Gigabytes of storage space for your email. Since I have several Gmail accounts, what in the world do I do with that much space online?
<p> </p>
<p>One thing I like to do is backup my critical files online. If my house burns down, a tornado hits, or an earthquake shakes, I'll still be able to access some or most of my files online (if I survive).
<p> </p>
<p>Gmail Space allows me to easily use all that free space online. Once installed, I can open my Firefox browser, then drag and drop files into and out of my Gmail space. It's an awesome tool, and I highly recommend it.
<p> </p>
<p>If you don't use Firefox browser, you might want to check out a little program called <a class="WikiLink" id="p-85e5c8d0ed510deea5a9cb7dac800482682e1152" href="/GmailDrive">GmailDrive</a>, which creates a virtual hard drive on your PC.

<p>I've seen this desktop tool a few times, and I decided to try it. The download was just under 1 megabyte. I ran the installer and after reading the EULA in <a class="WikiLink" id="p-945e024d745f7ae20943e7c5bfcb4493526ad0db" href="/EulaYzer">EulaYzer</a>, I found that it's clean, but they do reserve the right to disclose personal information to third parties. The only personal info they can get is your IP address, and what feeds you are subscribing to. That's no big deal, so I went ahead and installed it.

<p>To tell you the truth, I'm impressed. It's a very cool program. If you want tons of information displayed right on your desktop, this is a great way to do it. It's very customizable, so you can set colors, styles, sizes, alarms, and other stuff.

<p>If you are stubbornly determined to use Internet Explorer with all the security issues it has, at least you can make some of the settings easier to use with this utility. I tried it out and it works very well. In fact, it shows many settings that I am not familiar with. I'm not a security expert, and I am easily fooled into thinking everything is fine, so I decided a long time ago to avoid using Internet Explorer whenever possible.

<p>Sometimes you may have several applications running on your PC at once. You might also have trouble figuring out which one you really want to switch to when you look at your task bar or use ALT-TAB to swap them around. I tried out TaskSwitchXP and it's a beautiful solution. It's very small, and the download gives you a choice between an installer or zipped as a no-install. I always choose the no-install option which allows me to download, unzip, and run it wherever and whenever I wish. The no-install package allows TaskSwitchXP to be used as a <a class="WikiLink" id="p-75a8b2c24996db6b6afe798e000dcd055d6b177b" href="/PortableApp">PortableApp</a>.

<p>Gmail doesn't allow you to easily add new contacts from your contact list when you are forwarding an email. You have to remember the names or at least part of their names and type them into the "To", "CC", or "BCC" boxes. Some services allow you to choose the contacts from your contact list by clicking on them before you send the email.

<p>So, what can a Gmail user do about this problem?

<p><em>I have discovered a way to do it and wanted to pass this along to you. Knowing how clever you are you most likely know this already, but in case you don't, here it is.
<p> </p>
<p>This can be done is several ways so just the premise is important.
<ol><li>You read an e-mail that is needed to be be forwarded to many.</li><li>Open a new e-mail via the contacts list.</li><li>Select from the list who you want to send it to</li><li>Select "Compose", the one directly about your list, not the one on the left column.</li><li>Copy the list after all the needed contacts are in the "To" box</li><li>Close the new email</li><li>Open the email you need to forward</li><li>Paste your contact list in your forward box of the e-mail that is to be forwarded.</li></ol>

<p>Grisoft is the maker of the very good free antivirus program called <a href="http://www.grisoft.com/doc/289/lng/us/tpl/tpl01">AVG Free</a>. I've used AVG Free in the past and I was never disappointed. It's good protection for the average user at the best price.
<p> </p>
<p><a href="http://www.ewido.net/en/product/">Ewido</a> is basically a live protection program that targets spyware and trojan viruses that try to secretly use your PC to transmit your personal information or worse yet, turn your PC into a spamming machine or a zombi PC. I tried out Ewido's software when it first came out over two years ago, and I was impressed with it.
